Not many people realize the power of affirmations. In fact, most people are clueless about having the power to change their life by speaking it into existence.

Me, being a christian and depending on the bible as my source for how to live my life — I know from experience just how powerful “spoken words” are.

Everything you say comes to life — whether it be now or later, it will come to pass!

So if you are the type of person who always seems to be in a rut or just feels stuck all the time, then chances are you are speaking those emotions into your reality.

If you constantly complain about everything, every chance you get, then the things you complain about will only get worse (as I’m sure you have noticed by now).

Negative Thoughts = Negative Language = Negative Actions = Negative (Un-Happy) Life…

…Positive Thoughts = Positive Language = Positive Actions = A Positive (Happy) Life

Which results would you like to have?

Obviously, you chose the second option. Good choice, but to achieve those results, you will have to get in the habit of speaking positive affirmations over your life. Trust me, affirmations work!

I used to complain more than a naked, homeless man on a winter night (lol). And I had the audacity to blame everyone around me for my problems. I would think negative, speak negative, and act negative — yet, always wondering why my life was going in circles.

But once I gave my life back to Jesus Christ, and began to wake up to my true identity — I quickly realized that I had the power all along. All I had to do was speak the life I wanted, into existence, and that’s exactly what I did. And with the help of God, so can you!

No matter what you are going through — no matter how tough your situation is — our almighty God has equipped you with everything you need (the bible) to change your life.

15 Powerful Affirmations (Scriptures) That Will Change Your Life

I expect the Glory of God to be poured out on my life like the rain. – Zech. 10:1

I repent and turn away from sin for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand. – Matthew 4:17

In Conclusion

I want us all to prosper and live a happy, fulfilling life. So whatever it is you may be going through in life, just know that God has given you the power to change all of that.

If you make a daily habit of incorporating just a few of the affirmations (scriptures) above — you will see a major change in your life. God Himself, said “Let there be light”, and then there was light. And he has given us that same power over our life here on Earth, so why not use it?

I love Biblical affirmations. I find Psalms a really good book to read when I’m feeling down.

2 Corinthians 12:7 and Matthew 28:18, what is the reason behind these verse choices for the affirmation you have paired with them? I feel as though there may be more applicable verses. When I read the corresponding verses to the affirmation, I found them not really the same as the affirmation. Thanks for doing this by the way, very helpful! :)

Maurice Lindsay January 22, 2014 at 1:57 pm

Hey Lindsay,

I chose these scriptures because they were all helpful to me when I was at one of my lowest points in life.

All of these affirmations are from the bible, I just paraphrased some of them to make it easier for me to remember them when I would speak them out in the mornings.

Thanks for your affirmations. I have been constantly complaining about a responsibility that I do not feel is mine, but fell upon me when my Mother passed away. You are right. Once I started complaining, it has become a vicious cycle and it is making me ill because I am stressing over the situation and cannot find what I feel is a viable solution to the problem. But I made a commitment to myself after I just read your webpage to stop complaining and become more positive. I definitely have spoken negativity that has become reality. No more. I am a cancer survivor and I need to make every moment count and those moments need to be positive even when I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you again and God Bless

Chantell February 26, 2014 at 9:51 pm

Thank you! I needed these to help me connect my affirmations with His words. I also found another I feel is the foundation for transforming the mind. God Bless!

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God

Maurice Lindsay March 1, 2014 at 1:07 pm

Yeah Roman 12:2 is definitively one of my favs, as the message is basically the standard for christian living. Thanks for sharing Chantell, and I appreciate you stopping by.
